A Word About Food...

Some may wonder what amazing dishes will be prepared for me while I'm in China...and those of you who know me well will know that tomatoes, olives and the ever dreaded mushroom will be politely escorted to the edge of my plate.

All the pieces in place…

My visa arrived yesterday, my passport is stamped, my airline ticket is confirmed and it looks like I'm ready to go...All that's left is to water the plants!

Okay, so maybe I won't visit the beach while I'm in China...And what I really want to know is, where are the bathrooms???

Counting down to China

So it looks like I'm about 5 1/2 weeks away from departing to Beijing...5 1/2 weeks which is the exact amount of time that I'll be there and I guess if I wanted to see how long 5 1/2 weeks takes, now is the time to do it! I've been a little uneasy because I don't have my visa yet and until all the pieces are in place I won't feel completely like this is really going to happen. Part of me wants to plan a 'summer vacation' in case it all falls through...anyone want to go lay on a beach and drink mai tai's?
